Vespertine Press is a Brighton-based independent publisher dedicated to making practical, beautifully printed city guides that showcase various lifestyle interests; most prominently the speciality coffee movement.

Despite the trend for mass-market, low cost publishing, as well as the innovations and opportunities afforded by the development of ePub software and devices, we believe that there is and always will be a need for books that are as satisfying to handle and to look at as they are informative and enjoyable to read. For these reasons we insist on litho-print and recycled heavyweight paper stock, which is sourced and produced by local printers employing sensible environmental policies. We also insist upon strict principles in terms of both copy and print whilst additionally, our in-house design team work tirelessly alongside our writers to produce art and copy that we can be proud of. In short, we believe that there is a right way to publish that involves taking old-fashioned values and methods and teaming them with cutting edge design and expertise. Both the challenges and goals of Vespertine Press lie therein.
